After the BMW M2 was launched in 2016, the world was stunned by the performance of it. It may have been the slowest of all the M cars but most peoples favorite. Now BMW seems to be working on an all new version to be unveiled in 2021. It looks like this is going to be more a track focused version. Which could be worrying because the last BMW track car (BMW M4 GTS) wasn’t up to standards. As well as the current M2 is great, the M2 CSL has a lot to live up to.
Not many of the specs have been released about the M2 CSL because it is far from being launched. However some reports have said that the car could produce about 400-450 horsepower which would be plenty in a small 2 door car. The gear box will probably be a choice between a 6 speed manual and a 7 speed double clutch like in the current cars. Also it will most likely have the standard options for BMW’s current M cars like the performance exhaust etc… I think the car will probably be made lighter than the current car which will make it much more fun to drive. Overall this seems like a very promising car.
