70’s fashion

Men’s fashion was the 70’s was very bold and daring. Many men’s outfits included striking patterns along with eye-catching colors. Corduroy and more browns and oranges were also were popular.  The essentials were long collared shirt, vests, turtleneck sweaters, and leisure suits.

Homemade and decorated clothing – patches, fringe, embroidery were very popular along with 1920’s jewelry. Long knit vests layered over tops and pants were also very trendy in the 1970’s. 

Many designer brands have begun to make more clothing items out of corduroy. As well as many designer are now using more browns, oranges and mustard colors.

Quilting and patchwork from the 1970’s is making an appearance again. Secondly another fashion item from the 70’s, Abba sandals are becoming more and more trendy.
